The 70mm format allowed the use of an aspect ratio of 2.2, which was close to cinemascope, but without the pronounced distortion. Shot with these lenses, the 1965 film \u201cWar and Peace\u201d directed by Sergey Bondarchuk won a foreign Oscar in 1969. <\/p>\n
