Leitz HUGO lenses were designed to be compact, fast, and lightweight, while allowing for extremely close focus, all while preserving the full character of Leica M glass, which gives images a distinctive personality straight out of the camera.
The initial set includes 7 full-frame lenses ranging from 18mm to 90mm, all with a fast T1.5 aperture, with a 135mm version coming soon.

Building on the popularity of the Leitz M 0.8 series, Leitz HUGO lenses use the same Leica M optics but feature a completely new housing design and build quality aligned with existing Leitz cinema lenses.
They are equipped with an LPL mount and a traditional cinema-style layout of focus and iris rings, extended focus scales with a 270° rotation, and significantly improved close-focus capabilities.
At the same time, they remain extremely compact and lightweight — starting at just 1.78 lbs / 0.81 kg, with lengths ranging from 2.7 to 4.4 inches (68–112 mm).
