KOWA FF SET-R WPO T2.8-T3.6

Few people know that the Japanese company KOWA has created not only Cine Prominar and anamorphic lenses, but also full-frame SET-R!

Their lack of popularity is “due” to their different design, which lacks an aperture on the back of the lens, as is usual in other glass. Thanks to a full rehouse process (taking the glass out of the old housing and putting it into a brand new one), we were able to restore them to their glory and adapt them to new cameras.

The glass has wonderful gold and purple flares. They are sharp in the center with a soft focus fall off to the corners. Bokeh is soft, pleasing and round at all T values thanks to the 14-blade aperture. At all focal lengths, close focus has been greatly improved.

The lenses cover the LF open gate without vignetting. All have a 110mm front, a 300-degree focus ring range and a standard 0.8 pitch on both rings.
