SIGMA fp to najmniejszy i najlżejszy bezlusterkowy aparat na świecie. Wykorzystuje 35mm pełnoklatkowy sensor Bayer z 24,6 mln efektywnych pikseli. Przód i tył aparatu został pokryty stopem aluminium dla polepszenia wytrzymałości i przewodnictwa cieplnego. Kompaktowy korpus SIGMA fp ma wbudowany radiator i jest uszczelniony w 42 punktach, co wzmacnia jego odporność na kurz i zachlapanie, a dzięki temu czyni go idealnym narzędziem na długie godziny pracy w ekstremalnym środowisku. Dzięki kompaktowej wielkości i dużej elastyczności SIGMA fp zapewnia radość z pełnoekranowej jakości obrazu.
